About
The CARE program works collaboratively with Indigenous Qom (Toba), Wichí, and Pilagá populations in the province of Formosa, Argentina to study the health and well-being of community members.
Our research documents current and historical sociocultural influences on community environments and outcomes, including the influence of drastic economic and lifestyle changes on reproduction, health, metabolic disease risk, and child growth and development. Our work has been published in English and Spanish-language academic journals and books, and is shared with participants and communities through informational fliers, community radio, and social media.
